The LOVEKEVINS: "Vs the Snow" is Swedish pop on Songs I Wish I Had Written. It takes some imagination to try and write accessible pop that utilises: cornet, euphonium, echo chambers, field recordings, samples tapes and no-input electronics. Sounding at once like Death Cab for Cutie (says Mr Phil) influenced by classic pop- think Beatles maybe, but utilising an experimental approach to instrumentation within traditional song structures. MAGGIE says "eurovision", I say sweets, sunshine and saccharine flavourings with some unconventional wrapping. There's also a song about anoraks.. Norman Records
