BARCELONA -- Versus Entertainment, producer of Rodrigo Cortes' Sundance hit "Buried," has taken Spanish rights to "Guest," the upcoming film from cult Spanish director Jose Luis Guerin.
"Guest" is a travel diary following a director as he goes to international film festivals.
It's produced by Adrian Guerra's Barcelona-based Versus and Roxbury Pictures, which co-produced Gabe Ibanez's Cannes Critics' Week player "Hierro."
Budgeted at around $1 million, pic is co-financed by Catalan pubcaster TV3, the Catalan Institute of Cultural Industries and the Icaa Spanish film institute.
Shooting has already taken place in more than 20 countries using nonpro actors speaking English, Spanish and Cantonese.
