With their self titled debut album just out and a European/ UK tour with Cut Copy in the wings, Sydney quartet MERCY ARMS join the 2008 HOMEBAKE line up as one of rock”s most captivating young bands.

Although they’ve drawn comparison to the classic pop of The Smiths and the noise-guitar mastery of My Bloody Valentine, they take their inspirations to new places. Unforgettable choruses, shimmering noise, orchestral, original, raw and free of gimmicks, their music has nothing to do with fads or fashion.
