Premios en la Quincena para el filme del canadiense Xavier Dolan, "I Killed My Mother" (The Holywood Reporter)
Canadian director Xavier Dolan's "I Killed my Mother" killed the competition at the 41st Director's Fortnight with the film taking three out of four major feature film prizes as the Festival de Cannes sidebar wrapped Friday night in Cannes.
The film won the Art Cinema Award, given by an international jury of independent cinema programmers in addition to the SACD Prize for best French-language feature film.
"Mother" also won the "Regards Jeune" 2009 Prize, given to a first or second feature in the Director's Fortnight or Critics Week sidebars by a jury of young cinephiles.
Dolan, a 19 year-old first-time filmmaker, wrote, directed and stars in the Canadian film about teen angst and the relationship between a son and his mother.
Nota: lamentablemente no tengo registrado que ninguno de los votantes de Micropsia la haya visto...
